Taken on the streets of Chennai, India. Comments are welcome on all, but I would especially appreciate critique on the monochrome conversion. I've tried a new approach (for me) and I'm not 100% sure I'm happy with it.

Thanks,

I think you've really captured the street life perfectly, and I like them all. I like your conversion, although I'm no expert, I have a hard time converting color to black and white to my liking, and I'm liking yours.

I think the monochrome is the strongest of the series. An interesting set of shot though. :)

Great set. India is a a very educating, humbling and beautiful county.

Love the conversion.

Thanks all! It is truly an amazing country - I wish I had months to spend here rather than days.

You sure picked the right channel to emphasize with your conversion. His skin contrasts superbly with the tile background. Excellent tone and detail.

Agreed - #4's my favorite by far.

What were the settings you used? ISO, shutter, f-stop?

EXIF data: Auto exposure, Aperture-priority AE, 1/250 sec, f/4.5, ISO 1000

Thanks. Unfortunately, on a crowded street in India, you don't get a lot of time to compose, correct and re-shoot; it's grab the shot and continue being pushed along by the crowd.
