The sunset stuff

Hey folks.
Couple of months ago a was out fishing with a friend of mine. To make a long story short I took some pictures of him when he was out with the boat. I am not happy with the quality ( I shot handheld with 200mm lense after days of beer) and I was wondering how much I can really change them (for better). And ah, jpg format and newbie here. Thank you in advance.

The third one I love. In the 1st and 2nd, the sun glare off the water, cutting right through the subject is what kills it for me. In the third one i would probably crop is so that the subject isn't so centered, or at least so the line where the trees meet the water is not directly in the center.

here is a crop suggestion... if you don't like.. just ignore it

straightened the horizon also... it was off a hair...
