    I always enjoy your shots--this one kind of makes me think of Full Metal Jacket and makes me wonder if you also had "born to kill" written on your helmet and also wore a peace pin..

    I'm assuming your title is a reference to the book. This photo touches a similar nerve, but I think it's missing the little things that make it a bit more personal.

    I did have a dust covered sandwich bag that contained about 50 or 60 letters from home. I thought it made the shot look too busy...it is boderline as it is.
