Well I am aiming to change my current status of owning nothing in the book line and already I have many suggestions for good books dealing with photography as a general subject, but now I am looking for some that deal more in the areas that interest me specifically - those being nature photography in general - from the odd landscape to the macro and all the way up to wildlife and birds.

So far I have had a quick look about and found these appearing with some good reivews.
John Shaw's Nature Photography Field Guide - John Shaw
Digital Photography Outdoors: A Field Guide for Travel and Adventure Photographers - by James Martin
Centre for Nature Photography Series - by Allen Rokach and Anne Millman (including, birds, flowers, landscape editions)

Has anyone any experience of these books or any others that they would recomend. I would class my own skills as intermediate with an aim to becoming more advanced.
    Thanks

Anything by Galen Rowell. Specifically Inner Game of Outdoor Photography, North America the Beautiful and High and Wild (out of print on the latter). But any of his books are great.

I like John Shaw's work. I've perused a couple of his books at B&N. That would be a good addition.
