The potential of the human mind is...well mind boggling.

I saw a show on TV the other day...about a fellow who is autistic...but he has very good communication skills...which, sadly...most autistic people don't. They were trying to get him to to describe what is going on in his head...it was really quite amazing. He was doing complex mathematics...and to him...numbers and equations are shapes. 234568 would have a certain shape, for example. They had him use clay to model different numbers, at different times...and he was very consistent. He even described how they looked. Pi, for example, he said was a very beautiful number...like a beautiful landscape. They tried to trick him up by switching some of the digits of Pi...way down the line...and he picked up on it right away.

Another thing he did...was to learn Icelandic in a week. It's supposed to be on of the hardest languages...and after a week, he did a live TV interview on a news show...and conversed very well.

Many of the tests they did...were just to see if he was faking it...and he passed all the tests they could thing of. He really is an amazing guy...I for got his name though :scratch:
