I went hiking this morning at Boyce Thompson Arboretum in Superior, Arizona

Here are a few of the beasties I ran into (I wanted to find one of the Gila Monsters that has been seen there, but no such luck).

Very nice shots. Your unidentified lizard is a whiptail. Maybe a chihuahuan spotted whiptail. Are you in Eastern Arizona?

Thanks for the ID, Chris. I thought it was a whiptail, but wasn't sure. I live in Phoenix -- this place is about an hour east of me.
