    Its 7:30am Here In South Africa.
    And I woke up at 4:30am this morning, and headed down to Nahoon beach to catch the sunrise. And what a sunrise it was.

    Very nice! I think what makes these is the sharp reflection of the light in the water. Wish I could have seen this in person.

    Only suggestion is to watch your horizons. Quite a few of them are crooked. Great captures though!

    Theres the Horizon, and then a big grey cloud bank, maybe your seeing the cloud bank, cos its formed at an angle.

    I dont have a tripod, all these shots are free hand. also i have a little compact 4mp cannon.

    haha, the clouds look like a giant wave.

    Very good considering your equipment limitations!

    I love the ship silhouette in that last one. If you are planning to do this again try catching a better shot of ships passing by!

    Seems like a good spot there; if you expect a heavily clouded sky it is worth waking up early and checking out for a spectacular photo opportunity.

    Even taking the cloud bank into consideration they still look a bit crooked to me. Maybe its just my tired eyes. Still beautiful shots though.

    That ship was still. it as waiting to port. and I live 5min away from there. so i plan on coming back alot.

    you should probably number your photos...

    i like the first ones...they look a lot fresher and i really do just want to jump in...
