I was expecting to see a different kind of plant when I read the title.

Nice shot. I'd like to see a bit more contrast, but maybe that's my monitor. The composition and setting by the window is very nice.

Why does it confuse you to see such an ordinary potted plant in the common room of your school?
It's nice to be sitting there, posing for you, so you could take this lovely b+w with natural light of it. I like it very much! Both, plant AND photo, mind!
