Sure the snow was pretty at first. But then the rain on top of it, now there's two inches of ice on top of the damn snow. They said it was supposed to get up to 45 and thaw everything like 2 days ago, but it just keeps getting worse! It better warm up today. I've got **** to do! :x

Poor Orie. Stuck inside and getting cabin fever. I feel for ya, girl!!

Bogleric, it's good that you like the snow, being in Michigan and all that. At least you know you have to shovel the stuff. Me, I couldn't wait to move to Atlanta from Detroit....in Atlanta 3 inches of snow is usually good for a 2-day pass, unless it warms up too fast afterwards. :?

It's just cold and windy around here the last 2 days....not good for much of anything, except a reason to have another fire and bottle of wine at the end of the day. :D

Took me an hour and a half on the buses to get to work today. I didn't work at all on Tues, and only worked 5 hours yesterday, and probably not even that much today, since a guy offered me a ride home at 2. So not only is this storm screwing up my life, it's eating up all my vacation time! And my paychecks probably won't arrive by tomorrow and then I'm going to have 300 pissed off employees on my hands.... but I did shoot a roll of film out back yesterday, and I'm going to develop it tonight... if it doesn't come out then I'll be really ticked at this stupid storm!

Man, people need to chill on the paycheck thing. That is totally out of your hands. If they're that worried everyone should have auto deposit. Hopefully you have to endure any scenes.

I can't believe you have to use your own vacation time for a snowstorm. Seems the company should allow for inclement weather days, since it's such an unusual event out there. boo, hiss!!!

Here's hoping the pics make you happy!!

I've been thinking of you, Mindy.

We had ice last Friday so I was 1 1/2 hr late for work. Monday was fine, then hit with lots of snow Tuesday. It took me 1 hr to get to work when it would usually take 20 minutes. But it snowed so much that I left my car at work, got a ride part way home then walked 5 1/2 miles (no, i'm not kidding!). I planned to take the bus to work Wednesday, which I did, but awoke to no power (because after the snow we got rain which created ice and the ice was too heavy for the power lines). This all added to the fun!

Oh, and my legs are still sore from walking that much in the snow.

I can't wait for the weekend!

Damn, I didn't realize you guys were getting it quite that bad up there! It sucks, huh? :D I just want to be able to take my car and go to the grocery store! But noooo, there's two inches of ice on the driveway and the car ain't goin' nowhere...

I hope your legs feel better soon, Sands! That IS quite a trek. I've been lucky in getting rides from dudes from 4WD and chains. Just had to take the bus once, and it's only a couple blocks down. But it's still really treacherous just trying to walk around, since the ice is so thick.

Here's to the weekend and lots of melting!

    What a thought...MD in a bikini! :puke:

I really feel sorry for you guys that are getting the snow though, it's fun to hike in or look at but it's nasty when you've got to work in it.
