    Yeah, the Gorillapod...pretty ugly. :) And it can only sustain 1,1kg. It's only a gadget, nothing to make me tremble.

    just 1.1kg? useless for most SLRs plus lens ;)

    but it is great for p&s cameras I suppose!

    Has anyone actually used one of these ? Saw one a few months back, kicking myself for not picking it up ...

    No substitute for a proper tripod of course, but might be useful out and about in the bag ...

    There's an SLR version that can take 3kg I think. I've not used one tho.
