Another day out shooting randomly and I caught up with a boy fishing. As he put his pole down to run back to the tackle box, I shot this. Turned out pretty neat.

pretty neat! nice subect too... wish you had shifted your angle a bit to avoid that overlap of the rod and the edge of the water body... of then if it was overlapped more or just a closer crop.. i love the texture int he ground

Thank you Yeah, I hadn't even thought of shooting it till he was actually headed back so it was one of those, "Quick get this thing (camera) off my neck so I can put it down by the ground to shoot" type of things. The river bank, all through town, is a funny barrier of some sort. There's no beach - it's all funny like this. I don't know what it is but it looks like ceramic tile, like the roofing, but then concrete poured over it and somewhat like a burlap mesh texture given to it.
