For those who can help me:

I have $350 to spend, at Vistek.ca (I got a certificate from my school, winning an award)...

And I'd like a digital camera.

I would like either a Canon or Fuji, and it HAS to have a macro lens and/or setting. And of course digital zoom sucks, so it has to have optical.

I don't care what memory card it takes or batteries.

I would like some manual settings, but I do not think $350 (I don’t want to go over $400...shipping and tax kick it up SOOO much!) will get me far enough.

I was looking into these cameras (I forget which ones have what settings, and which ones I did a research on):

The one I want but it's too expensive:

I see this camera in every store (camera shops, Future shop, department stores, Staples..and even on a soap opera!! Maybe even another TV show.)

So please anyone who knows about these cameras someway somehow, please let me know.

I plan on using this more for my own personal use to practice photography. However I know I will get bored very easily in a short time unless I spend a bit more. But money is tight. I shouldn't spend it if I don't have to, and unless someone can convince me otehrwise....I wont spend more.

    THANK YOU!

EDIT: If you could also think of aother camera that may be on that site from another company, feel free to let me know if it has macro (no specific range) and optical zoom (no specific range)..

It isn't one of the brands you spoke of, but I recently bought an Olympus C-4000 that I couldn't be happier with.

    May be worth considering...
