OK this is a few shots i took for my buddy TJ. He wanted a few new photos. Let me know what you think.

what they said, also the first to he is centered which makes for a boring composition in a landscape orientation. They all 3 have a really distracting powerline or something near chin level.

just a noob comment. the images doesn't seem to convey to me what you want to tell. your friend does not stand out from the image. not sure whether it is due to the out of focus or cluttered background. the composition itself also makes it look like snapshot.

2 tips:
-Use a larger aperture, this allows for shallower depth of field which will isolate your subject from the background. This will also let you use faster shutter speeds and reduce blur caused by camera shake (which may be a contributing factor to the lack of focus in these).
-Try using the rule of thirds. I the first 2 not only is TJ dead center but so is the horizon, photographers generaly don't like this....
