    As you can see I can't wait to get my new lens so I can do some 1:2 macro but I did my best with my little kit lens.

    yes youd efinitely need macro lens... number 4 is completely out of focus and othing is visible there. but I liked the spider... nice frame there

    The spider photo is nice ... and it is not a common garden spider but some other kind ... the way they weave these zigzags into their webs goes into their name, too, and it was mentioned right here on TPF, but my old brain was unable to memorise that name. :irked: Dang! Hmph.... :grumpy:

    Sorry about #4 it was supposed to be shot of a bee and about the spider it is just called a yellow garden spider if I recollect correctly and the zig zags just add stability to the web they are common here in the states. My grandmother has 4 of these spiders around her house. I spotted a egg sack that I'm going to have to remove don't want anymore of them.

    Now I see they are called Yellow Garden Spider and often also Writing Spider because of the "writing" they put up into their web. That was the word I had forgotten again... I had seen this right here on TPF before!
