I went down to Humber Bay Park today for the first time and found a few birds. I was hoping to see some birds of prey but didn't. It seems my timing is off with these kinds of birds, but i'll get them yet!

A male Long-tailed Duck in winter plumage.

Here's a Bufflehead, he was a long way out so excuse the quality.

Wonderfully clear shots, JOAT! I enjoy watching the longtails, but they're pretty skittish whenever I raise my camera. Am going to have to watch for the Bufflehead, as I love the colours of their plumage. The last swan shot is just perfect, IMHO - love the curve of its neck, the way it's looking at you, the way it's in 'warrior mode', and you got a clear shot of its eye. Bravo.

Ray you are right, wrong pics :) i did get some trumpeter swans too.

thanx for looking.

Excellent JOAT. Very nice !!! I stopped by bluffers park quickly on the weekend, and there were some of that first bird you posted there. I did not even try to get a shot.
