Very nice Pete! Great looking little guys there. I think the colors need to pop a little more though, and their faces look a little too yellow-brown.

Other than that, I like the nice directional lighting and composition. The vignette adds a nice touch too. Great country setting. Thanks for sharing!

The skin tones look like they could be warmer but everything else looks great.

Is the seated youngster trying to tell us that he's #1? :)

Besides the skin tones, the only thing I would do is burn (darken) the seated kids' ear a bit so that it isn't so distracting against brother's brown shirt. ;)

Pete, you are always so good at getting kids to pose where you want them. How do you do it??

Thank you all for responding, and for the kind words. These guys have added to my life immeasurably.

I'm not seeing the flesh tone problem. Hmmmm... not on this monitor or at home on the Mac. Would someone be willing to make adjustments and re-post it here?

Thanks! I don't know.... not absolutely. I like working with kids. The only thing that comes to mind is I decide want I want before putting them into the setting. I decide on a plan to induce expressions, and I have everything set so I don't keep them waiting. I think I had them in this position for about 20 seconds or so.

    Thanks again!

    -Pete

I had a try at editing it...unfortunately, I can't access Photobucket from work anymore.

Basically all I did was open up the color balance adjustment and move the 3rd slider away from yellow, toward blue. In the mid-tones I moved it about +8 and in the highlight-tones I moved it about +13.

Mike... I did this, and yup... much more natural. I knew the image was on the warm side, and thought I liked it that way. Now, maybe not so much. Good call!

Oh my, they are adorable. I agree, the colors a little off and they need to pop a little more, but the composition is great and I love the older little guy with his hands in his pocket, he looks so grown, yet he's so little.
