Ooh, I really like this. Good job!
Why Thank You!! that's why i love being a Graphic Designer!! makes it easier on me to take pics!! All though the art of photography and taking pictures correctly with the right lighting and settings makes it easier on the graphic designer.
should i post the original pic to show the difference?
It's a nice edit on an otherwise boring photo... Good work there.
However, if it would have been interesting to begin with the edit would have been much better! The equipment really doesn't mean anything for a shot like this. Perhaps if there was a story behind this shot, or if the shot told a story, it would be a stunner.
cool location! Editing pretty nice...

Yeah you could post the original. I think it would be interesting to note the difference.
Actually I shot this for 2 reasons.
1. In the music business (especially hiphop) I tend to need a lot of random stock photos to use for backgrounds on their mixtapes and etc. rough rural ares such as this makes perfect backgrounds. And I like to keep my own library of stock photos rather than going to google or iSTOCK.
2. I can see a potential "story" photo shoot happening here in the near future. Girl w/ a toolbox & etc, u know.
I kinda like what you have done with the image, but i would make a few more adjustments.
The whites have been blown out through the processing, then using the vignette layer you added you have a kind of off white effect, which isn't very pleasing, especially on the vehicle where you can see the front end has an odd grey cast to it.
Instead i would just simply layer mask the vehicle (and garage door) from some of these effects, and maybe give it a few curve layers of its own.
Other than that though, good job... and your right, being a designer for 14 years has helped my editing alot.
yeah man i was actually thinking the same...i was going to do some curves to the white area on the front of the truck or at least something! but didn't really want to spend time on it..i was just doing it for fun. but i might go back and do it just to see the outcome. Good eye
The white's too strong/it's overcontrasted, the vignette's way too much/obviously unnatural, and I generally just don't understand what you were going for. It doesn't look vintage, or like it was taken Holga, or....much of anything. It just looks like you edited it a lot. The best photo edits are ones you can't tell were edited at all..
