Toronto FC Home Opener - April 28, 2007

Today (well, technically yesterday) was a historic day in Toronto.

Toronto FC, the expansion MLS club (first outside the US), held their home opener vs. the Kansas City Wizards. Great game, and me and a friend (and a couple others) have split 2 season tickets in the 'Red Patch Boys', one of the diehard supporters' sections.

ABsolutely amazing.

-In the parking lot before the game, breakfast tailgating party. This is on the way in.

-The group shot. Got special permission from the GM of the stadium to go down on the field for this just before kick-off, next to all these guys from AP, the Star, etc.

-Pretty sure these kids thought we were nuts. We barely stopped chanting from 11:30 AM (kickoff at 12:30) until the end of the game at 2:30

Haha not this one, was too busy chanting, cheering and stomping! I do have season tickets (though I can't make it out to about 1/3 of the games due to school/out of town), though, so over the course of the season I'll get some
