Today when I came to TFP I got this warning from AVG,

"The page you are trying to access has been identified as a known exploit, phishing, or social engineering web site and therefore has been blocked for your safety. Without protection, such as that in the AVG Security Toolbar and AVG, your computer is at risk of being compromised, corrupted or having your identity stolen. Please follow one of the suggestions below to continue.

I am wondering if any one eles is getting this, yesterday I got a pop-up from windows when I came here that said interent explorer was blocked so I said alow, now I get this WTF???

I tried opening it in IE and my anti-virus (ESET NOD32) detected a trojan while opening thephotoforum website:

13/12/2009 16:08:52 HTTP filter file http://blogcasino.org/lib/update.php?id=6 a variant of Win32/Kryptik.GN trojan connection terminated - quarantined *****\**** Threat was detected upon access to web by the application: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.

I got the same thing, and what's more is this is the second time this has happened to me on TPF. The first time I thought maybe I must have just been losing my mind, but perhaps not.

I hope there's a good explanation for this.

And now it's not doing it anymore. It was popping up with a "This site uses Java" warning, and then would pop up a window titled "Acrobat" with no contents.

It's probably triggered by a certain google add. That would explain why it only happens every now and then.

I'm not getting any warnings...but the forum does seem very buggy today.

Sometimes the back button doesn't work... It's just TPF too - everything works fine everywhere else.

I wonder if TPF hosts their banners or they are just externally linked. (I could look but I'm too lazy atm). If the latter, then something could happen (either intentionally or no) with their advertisements... and I THINK the times I saw it the same banner was on-screen, but I unfortunately didn't take particular note of it at the time.

I logged on and it gave me a notice about Adobe Acrobat not being able to open a certain file - and then it crashed (luckly without actually opening - so I just got the crash notice).
It happened twice and then not again - I'm with the idea that its a dodgy ad that appears at random on the site.

Oh yes, what he said. :)

just checked on the GF's laptop and got nothing on her stuff either... I had a hard time getting the home page to load tho... seemed to take forever?
