Transmitter, Receiver and flash not syncing - Phottix Ares > Nissin Di866 mark II.

Hello, I have Phottix Ares transmitter and receiver on a remote speedlight flash nissin Di866 mark II.

The flash works fine mounted on my Canon 5D Miii but not when off the camera and connected to the receiver.

Any ideas?

Other than making sure the frequencies are paired up properly, I'm not sure what you could do to test the transmit side. You could throw a volt meter across the contacts on the receiver and try to trigger it, but I suspect you'd get 0. Is there any kind of internal self test? How about customer service (warranty)?

-Fresh batteries on both sides
-Clean battery contacts
-As mentioned, verify frequencies

Wow. This is my first post on a forum. Surprised at the response. Thanks guys. I worked it out late last night. I had to have the speedlight set on Multi, then it works. I was trying to get it to fire on the Master and Remote functions... Anyway, thanks for your replies.
