Tree in the dark

This is one of my first shots taken with my D70. I like it a lot but I'd like to hear about it from others. Click the link if you want to view it large. The light is not from a flash, it is a large flood light that are used to light up little league baseball fields. CC please.

I do like it. My only 'nit' is I wish the branches on the right were not there and maybe just a tad more room on the bottom, just the lone tree. Do you have a pair of cutters?

Seriously though you could probably clone or burn the 'offended' branches out of the picture.

I really like the photo a lot. I agree with Mike's comments about the branches. Other than that, it's dramatic and really quite nice. I would think they'd be fairly easy to Photoshop out if you wanted.

Just thinking, if you were to re-shoot this, I would try and give a bit of room on the top so the tree top has some 'breathing room'. Maybe include some more of the shadow on the grass too?

Have you thought of shooting this in portrait orientation. It would give the tree a little more head room.
