    It's an unnatural perch, but I still like it.

    Is the tree limb in the background to distracting?

    I personally like the branch as it's not in focus and more of a shadow. It adds interest to an already nice shot.

    I don't think the branch is distracting. If it was directly behind the bird in some way, then yes it probably would be distracting.

    As it is, very good shot, and great detail and sharpness! :thumbup:

    Glad that nobody is finding the limb to be much of a distraction

    Really nice shot there! Lots of detail, good colour, and it's even looking right at you with its beady little eye.

    Thanks for the kind words. I like to think that this shot shows with a little determination, you can get some good bird shots, even with a shorter lens.
