Well, I almost did. As I was driving to my destination, the horizon started to get light...damn and I was up at 5 am. (went to sleep at 1:07am)

It was also cold - wind chill of 31f and windy. As the day progressed, I was confronted with 35 mph gusts.
At around 10:30am, it started to hail out, so I thought it best to head home, and almost did.

Ahhhhh but... I was able to see NYC from 38.7 miles away. That was awesome. I have some photos I will post them tomorrow.

Huh....Pierre, I must confess, I thought the same thing as erose thought...I had visions of you out there tussling with the morning sunlight.

"Take THAT, you dastardly sun--I'll drop my ISO to E.I. 12 with a Neutral Density filter, stop down to f/13 and make you cry! Hah!" and also things like, "Ah, morning sun, you think you're so tough....watch me jack the shutter speed up to 1/2000 and make you weak--I'm kryptonite to your Super Lighting powers! Bwaaahh-ha-hah!"

But then I figured out you meant something else entirely.
