My trusty lightweight tripod has traveled a lot of miles but broke the last time out. In need of a lightweight, collapsible, unit to replace. Any suggestions on something under $150?

Umm, what did you have before that did the job ?

Truthfully don't know who made it, had it for years. Aluminum 3 section square tube legs. Screw adjusters on the legs. Center cranks up. Quick disconnect plate that mounts to camera. Bubble level.

Manfrotto is made well. If you budget is USD you can probably get one. Perhaps there is a second hand market in your area.

Dic&Mic E302 or 302C (carbon) I do own carbon version and love it.
Very compact and lightweight.
I didn't test it (its lubrication) on frost, though. Spikes included!
Its lubrication is on cheaper side and smell a little.

I really impressed with it!

Another good tripod is Slik 340. The main "cons" is feets without spikes.

Get a fluid pan head if you are shooting video. If it comes with a dolly, it's even better.
