Tulip Pics from Spring

Here are 2 pics of tulips from spring time. What do you guys think? The hot spots on the petals were not as pronounced on the original size, but for some reason, resizing in photoshop made them sharper. I thikn i like the composition of pic 1 better. Right up close. lol.

Good selective focus, well focused on the flower and the droplet, which is a nice addition to the whole photos of the tulip.
Actually, I prefer composition of the second to that of the first and would even suggest to move another half step further away from the flower to get ALL of it into your frame, also its bottom part.

The red comes out well. I remember the problems I had to get reds right back in the film days... never came out the way they actually were in nature. Never.
