Turkey: right time, right place- wrong lens!!!

I looked out the window and saw this turkey just STROLLING through the yard. Grabbed my camera, but all I had handy was my 24-85 lens.

The 85mm was way WAY too short, and it didn't crop particularly gracefully, but better than nothing I suppose?

I wish I had a dollar For every time I've stopped and tried to get a picture of them out in the field and have them run off.

You never have the right lens on when you need it! LOL
It is not bad at all for a 85mm shot!
