Description shows when you mouse on something, move it away quickly, if wants to off click cross, otherwise there are some short keys you need to check,

why you want this any problem?

it just gets annoying, figured there was a easy turn off button,
i dont need to know these tips any longer.
as i know what they are...

but it's cool, i can deal with it.

I agree that it gets annoying, but I deal with it. It's especially annoying when I've clicked a link, not moved the mouse, and continue to scroll down using the arrow keys or space bar. After a few seconds, the Quick Hints shows up for the thread that I clicked before, blocking what I'm trying to read. When I move the mouse, they don't go away. I have to click elsewhere on the page. That's likely more of a browser bug/issue than the site, but it's an example of when they can be ├╝ber-annoying.
