I find this one too dark, I would prefer the seagull to be brighter. I might hafta play around with it in photoshop I guess.

I also find this one too dark, I seem to be having a problem with lighting :?

howdy troy,

just some really quick comments on your pics here:

1. Great Saturation of colours, i love this birds funky pose. My only dig is that i wish you got the tail feathers in.

2. Interesting shot - birds eye of view of a bird! Try having a play in pshop to make it brighter.. my complaint in this is that the wing is clipped here. Have a play with saturation as well, the blues of water might come out better as well as the colour of the birds feet :)

3. Yep too dark. Play around with the levels on these in photoshop to see if that helps, but sometimes that doesn't help and you just have to take the shot again. Also try taking this from the otherside as well, here you have a sillouette, but it might look more interesting with sunlight on it.

4. I love these 'lighting' on the water shots, reminds me of where i live. This one doesn't really jump out at me. Maybe get close the cliff's edge (make sure you HAVENT been drinking matie! stay off the Lablatts :p) and try to frame the trees in the shot somehow. just a thought.

Thanks for sharing those pilgrim!

#3 is very interesting to me, all most looks like a watercolor, but the grass in foreground is bugging me, I know that's your subject. I also like #s 1& 4 a lot

Thanks for the suggestions mark, I'll be sure to play around with them, and I'm probally going to the beach again this weekend to re-shoot some of those pictures, see If I can get something better.
As for the taking pictures while drinking idea :drunk: I have only done that once with this cam, haha and I was sure to stay in the auto settings..
It's a photo taken by a drunk of a drunk.. :D
