hey guys, was just messing around on my camera without the lense on and wanted to see what it was like inside, so i put it on the B setting (so if i keep my finger on the button, it stays open) and i let go of the trigger, and it didnt close agemn, and now it wont wind on (even tho i dnt have any film in it.)

i tried putting the camera on the baterycheck mode (where it beeps) and it didnt beep so maybe its the batarys. if the baterys were flat, would this happen?? or is it something else? im going out later so ill will get some baterys then. please help!! :(

thanks, Rob

I'm assuming your camera has an electronic shutter and is battery dependent. If so - yes. The mirror can remain locked up and the shutter fail to return if the battery expires when the B shutter is used.

Taking the battery completely out and returning it can often help return the mirror and shutter until you get a new battery.
