i don't really know them myself, but this bird looks pretty cool

ya got me...not sure what the bird is, but the shots are killer.

I think that's a Double Split wing Brown Hawk. Just kidding, I have no idea, but nicely captured.

thanks guys, i was guessing maybe juvenile redtail hawk, just because that's about all we get around here...

I'm with LWW, I think it's a Redtail too. Those birds are massive, they're known to hunt small rabbits around here. Great shots!

god i love these shots you guys are getting! the second shot is awesome!

thanks for the comments and opinions everybody... i can usually recognize the redtails, i think i was just thrown off because this one is a juvenile... he just seemed so BIG for a juvenile...

In case anyone missed the photographer's mark on the photo I posted I can't take credit for it, I found it just to show a known redtail for comparison by former members.

I can however add this

raptor, and I'm honestly not sure what it is?

And here's the same guy again:

all I'm (pretty) sure of is that it's a falcon.

And these:

are the semi-famous downtown Dayton, Ohio peregrine falcons.
