I headed down to wade in Brush Creek this afternoon. It was a little on the breezy side and for the most part each shot was all I had before the little critter flew away. I could use some ID help on some of these please.

All shot with a Canon 30D and Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens and this DIY Ring-Flash

    #1 Metalllic-Like Bee/Wasp?

    #2 Sasquatch Fly?

    #3 Just a Bee

#4 Paper Wasp...the creek water was just below with the sun reflecting off the surface.

#5 Odd Moth, never seen this guy before.

#6 Very odd little green fly.

Nice shots!! Hopefully someone will chime in with all the different kinds of bees and other flies you got (they're all bees and butterflies to me). Makes me want to get a longer zoom to be able to get these kinds of shots - can't get in that close with only 50mm...
