Using a Lee 105mm CPL on a wide angle lens

Those of you using this filter on a wide angle, what are your methods to deal with vignetting? Do you mostly avoid short focal lenses when using this filter or are there any tips that you could share with me?

Another question is does anyone use CPL when doing night shots? If so, how do they benefit the image?

The CPL relates to situations and types of light. If you have reflections you can use it and it doesn't matter night or day or lens. If you get unwanted effects like vignetting then you deal with them by going a little wider so you can crop some.
