Using Sony DT 18-70 with film

Anybody have any experience with this? I got the lens along with the 70-300 with my DLSR a100 (from what I can find that one will work). I have read conflicting reports. I could only find 3 where somebody tried the lens with film. One says that it works the full focal lengths of the lens just fine. The other two I found said that it produces pretty severely vignetted images from 18-24.

I ask because I just picked up a 700si to play around with and experiement with development and negitive scanning. I have two usable lenses so it maybe splitting hairs.

My camera isn't here yet so I am just looking for some real world perspectives before I try it out.
