And this critter is? It is always nice to let people know what they are looking at because not everyone is going to know exactly what this is - some kind of lizard, but that is all I know.

As far as the image is concerned, it is unfortunate that there are those branches around its head. I don't know if you might have gotten a better shot of the head if you had waited until his head cleared the branches, or even if the head was going to get out from behind the branches. Only you were there to know what was happening, or going to happen, as far as its movement is concerned. My tendency in this type of situation is to wait and see what might happen or where it is going as there is always a possibility of a better image with less "intrusion".
