Has anyone used this variable ND filter?

I sure could make use of it but I was hoping that someone could provide some feedback as it is a pretty expensive filter. It comes only in 77mm thread so I'll need to get an adapter to get it down to a 60mm thread size. Do you think the VariND filter + thread size adapter will cause vignetting on a 50mm focal length?

You'd probably want to do a big step if you can help it, as opposed to stacking multiple step-up rings, in order to minimize the possibility of vignetting. However, while that thing looks very convenient, I don't think I could justify the price.
