tell me something about the place? has anyone here ever been? how was it?

im thinking of going in march of next year...to try my hand with the big boys.

When I fly to Vegas I usually have Southern Utah as my final destination, so I never stay more than a day or so at a time.

It's fun enough, if you like casinos and roaming about in a total fantasy. ;) It's hard to describe how weird it is, especially at night, until you're there. But it seems safe enough and if you go with a bunch of friends you should have a blast.

Go to one of the online travel places for really cheap rates. If you want to be on the Strip you'll pay more, so getting a map online and finding a place one or two blocks off the Strip (read: easy walking distance) can save you $$.

it's a fun place to go if you like gambling or hookers... or umm... really HAWT wimmen! if you don't really get involved with that sorta stuff, the helicopter tour of the grand canyon is cool, as well as hoover dam. there are some ok rollercoasters and rides, as well as just the sheer magnitude of the casino's as well as their insane decor.

it's an experience... after going there a bunch of times, it's a place i don't have to soon visit again, unless another one of my friends plans on having their bachelor party there... AGAIN!

cheap rooms on the strip: circus circus or excalibur.

I just moved out of vegas in february, lived there for 7 years. There is a lot to do there outside of the city if that you don't often hear about. There is Mt. Charleston, Red Rock canyon, the valley of fire and the Hoover Dam. Thoses are all cool spots to check out. If you are going for the gambling it depends on what you are gonna play! Hard rock is great for craps, poker at the mirage, slots sunset station, Black jack green valley ranch. You must check out the Bellagio, it is the greatest if you are into sports betting! Have fun!!!

Vegas is AWESOME.... it's Disney World for adults. You can spend a week just going up and down the strip and touring the casinos... be sure to go downtown at night for the light show on Fremont St..... I don't gamble (and my wife made me give up hookers) but I still have a blast every time I go....

ok so lets take inventory:

hookers
gambling
bright lights
photographic opportunities

SIGN ME UP.

Vegas can be fun, but Ive found like a lot of touristy places, the best thing to do is to get off the beaten path. But then again I lived there, so im prolly just jaded . I miss Joey's Pizza though :(

Its defenetly worth a visit...not so great if your under age to gamble because you have to keep walking in the casinos.

Stay in the MGM grand or cieser palace, but MGM grand is the biggest hotel in the world (I stayd there) but cerisers palace looks bigger, because it has a shopping mall for the first like 3 floors, some gay guy was explaining this all to my dad (He fancied my dad and wouldnt leave him alone, so we all sat back and laughed at poor daddy)

all i know is what happens there ...stays there. except for what ever the hookers might give ya....then that will be a souviner you can cherish for a lifetime. keep the willy wrapped my brutha.

My Mom lives there, anything specific you want to know? It's old hat to me. :meh: However, it is fun to take people who've never been around to all the sights. There is a lot more to Las Vegas than gambling, strippers and hookers, but most people are only ther for a short time and don't get to experience what the "locals" do.

honestly, im mainly wanting to go to gamble. ive been playing pretty serious now for a couple months, and i want to see how long i can hang with the bigboys. but once im done with whatever money i take, ill be done. no trips to the ATM :):(:)
