Victoria Masquerade Ball - VERY large post

Spent last night shooting the Victoria Masquerade Ball, a Venetian-style costume ball fund-raising event. It was a great evening with some really amazing costumes and plenty of fun. Comments, critique and general observations always appreciated!

Looks like a fun evening! Many of these appear very soft to me though?

Dayam! That looks like it would have been a fun shoot. Some good shots in there considering what had to be some pretty quirky light.

Looks like a fun evening! Many of these appear very soft to me though?

A combination of high ISO and using a very 'cheap' compression application to shrink 20Mb files down to 100Kb.

Lighting conditions look seriously challenging.

It was a serious <female dog>. The auditorium had all sorts of revolving coloured LED projectors, and almost no 'white' light.
