He's cuts a tiny figure in the shop doorway. Hunched over his violin, playing for money
Nice urban portrait.
A good shot, well framed and evocative.
I like it, rekcon it needs a touch more contrast to make it stand out though.
thanks for the comments
Did you give him some money?
Wow. I love this. Great composition and texture.
Boyerv - oh yes. only polite to give them some small change if you're going to take their photo i think
VisualPoetry - thanks very much
maybe its just me but I find the handles rather distracting. my eyes kind of go from the violinist to the handle, then take laps around the handle bars until I realize that the subject is the person. obviously not your fault though. I do love the reflection, it shows that someone cares.
Oh this is such a sad portrait (nicely done in all technical and compositional aspects..) It evokes such sad feelings though.. the way he is hunched over.. his age. I would tone down the glare on the handles and perhaps clone out that girls face too. Really nicely done.
The girls reflection certainly changes the mood of the image. With it, there seems to be some hope, but without, the image would give completely desperate mood.
thanks for the comments everyone
