Vivitar 28-80mm I need a respose Please Hurry.

I'm looking to buy a Vivitar 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS Autofocus Film & Digital SLR Cameras online.

I was wondering is this a good lens for my Rebel XT Canon?

I'm shooting a wedding soon. I doubt it will come in time, But i heard its a great on the go camera for just about everything.

Please help thanks.

If the wedding will be outdoors in the daytime or a very brightly lit church you will be ok. If it's dim you will have trouble because it will be very slow and limit you to shots where everyone is standing still.

Do you have a 50mm f1.8 or whatever canon has? That range does fairly well in groups and is fast enough to use in dim light.
