I'll just start of on this one with I am not entirely thrilled with the composition. I feel its either too heavy on the left with the bush and what ever the heck that plant is or its just too busy in the foreground. Perhaps both.

I was pretty much stuck with this composition though. The little bit of nice light I had left was literally gone in the 15-20 seconds that followed this shot and I knew I was out of time so I just went with it.

I am pretty happy with it it otherwise.

Nice. I'd like to go there.

Thanks! This is in Arizona just outside of Phoenix. This spot is about a 2.5 mile hike from a trail head in the Superstition Mountains.

This is an interesting landmark(?) (mountain?) to photograph and I agree that sometimes you just have "go with it". The colours in the sky are nice. Unfortunately, that "thing" in the foreground is very distracting. If you go back, maybe there is a different angle for the shot.

That is amazing sky and the rocks leading up to the 'needle' are something else as well. Beautiful shot and location!
