Wedding and formal event photographers

How do you set up your lighting inside? Do you use one light, two, three? How far away from the people do you set them up? Do you use a diagram? Kind of a quick referance thing? Your input would be appreciated!!! I'm trying to learn and there is so much knowledge and experiance here!!!

I've had really good results just having the camera on a tripod, myflash with softbox 'overclocked' by 1 1/3 - 2 stops on a sync cord heldabove my head. Easy to transport and gives good results.

I have been using either two lights or one with a reflector. I've also shot with flash only, like John does. Occasionally I add a light for background or hair lighting, really depends on what the subject is.
