went fishing today

    Went fishing today and the fish didn't cooperate to well. These birds were nice enough to let me get close enough for some decent pics.

    cool... you live in a great part of the world where the bird opprotunities are awesome from what I see.. I hope to hike down to the great state of Texas some day.

    That would not surprise me. :lol:

    I like the colours in the fourth photo. The horizon is just a teensy-weensy bit crooked, though.

    i also like #4, i like your crop, but i really like that there were two herons in the frame, facing opposite directions... nice shots. :thumbup:

    i tried to do a crop that included the other bird but it would get part of the horizon

    how about this? the horizon is still at the top but i don't think you really notice it
