Today I decided to go for a hike on the snowy Boardman Park trail. I got several good shots of the trail. Then, on my way out, I spotted this owl. I'm glad I noticed it! Does anyone know what kind of owl this is?

I also like 1 and 3, but the owl is the best.
Do you think you can brighten it up a bit to get more of it's details?

    You lucky one!
You got an owl photo! Cool! I'd be over the moon for that one!
Raymond Barlow or AIRIC should know what kind of owl it is!

Nice shots and good Owl catch. The owl is a Barred Owl.

    Cool. Thanks! :D

I tried that but the background is a little too bright then, and becomes distracting. I'll play with it a little bit later. Most of the shots were underexposed, because my camera kept metering for the background and trees. I got this when I switched to spot metering.

    great shot of the owl!

    kind of eclipses the rest:
perhaps you should have posted them seperately!

on them i really like the washed out look of the paller trees but i'm not so sure about your choices of crops.
