    A recent trip to the zoo meant I had the chance to try out my new camera...I took plenty of shots....but these 2 are probably my favourites. C & C welcome :)

    Aww, these are great! I've been to the zoo twice this year and have yet to see the giraffes!

    BTW, having a camera I find gives me an excuse to do a lot of things I haven't done in years!

    Nice shots.

    They must have a high platform for giraffe viewing... those critters are tall and you were shooting at a high angle...

    Thanks for the comments :) the lens I used was the AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G which is one of the kit lenses that came with my recently purchased Nikon D60.

    Regarding the giraffe and being on a platform - They have dub out the ground in their enclosure, so you are at normal level, and the giraffes are slightly lower....I was so happy with the shot I got.

    The 55-200 is an excellent lens. You used it well.
