Wet jetty

    The receding afternoon tide in the Ribble estuary left the tip of this wooden jetty at Lytham, Lancashire, with good sky reflections, choppy water upstream (left) and a calmer swell to the right. A symmetrical, semi-abstract shot seemed the way to go on this one.

    Thanks for the comment Corinna - you're embarrassing me :blushing:. We're all learners here! This shot had some real sky, but I cropped it out and felt much happier with just the reflected sky.

    nice photo, the jetty acts as a great lead in line, i think this shot might look really nice in b+w, thats something you might want to try.
