I use one of my own photographs on my business card. I make a "sheet" of them in photoshop and print them out on 8x10 paper and cut them out myself with a roll cutter.
Come out pretty cheap ($15 per 100) for a good quality card printed on honest to goodness photo paper and the folks to whom I give them really seem to like them. It is kinda like passing out samples.

Just make sure if you do decide to go with a picture like that, that you choose a picture that looks good small and doesn't look smashed or too distorted.

I went a little artistic on mine
fine art on the back and info on the front,

I want them to have a reason to remember me, and so far
    its working totally fine.

I used overnight prints and totally surprised me the quality was great, but
    get the thickest stock.

I love the front of your business card. Very appealing and attractive looking. I would use you. :)

    thanks !!! I appreciate it......

took me hours to lay it out the right way......

though next time I might use one of my photos on the back. Its hard to say which one, one photo might cut out other types of business, I still have to decide on that.

I have heard good things about VistaPrint...and my first order from them is in en-route as we speak. They are having a 'sale' right now. I think 250 cards is $3.99 or something like that. You can even get free ones, if you don't mind their logo on the back.

Personally, I like simple cards. Nothing too fancy. If you are going to include an image, make it a simple one and what ever you do, make sure the text/info is clear and easy to read.

i use vista print. they are good.

250 cards are alaways free and you can order as many times as you like. i ordered 250 four days in a row so i have another 1000 en route and only for the cost of the post.

also they have alwys got offers on also ordered free fridge magnets which is also on its way.

so when the posties get back to work i should have a nice delivery

I actually used Microsoft Publisher to design my cards and got them printed at Kinko's. I imagine I do not have the most beautiful cards in the world but I do have one of my photographs on it and I think they are very nice. Kinko's will print them and cut them down to size for a very reasonable price. Of course right now I forget what I paid but it was not expensive at all.

I use overnight prints as well and I am really happy with what I received.
