I'm considering buying a AIS f3.5/4.5 lens. Anyone have any thoughts good or bad?

I used this lens for a few years. Always got good results with it. Wouldn't mind getting another.

I don't have this particular lens but I've never been disapointed with any of my Nikkors. All have been excellent.

It's a bit dark for the focal length perhaps?

    Rob,
That's the one big complaint from the pros. Probably the main reason it never really caught on with them. I don't think Nikon made a faster lens in this zoom category. I plan on using it for outdoor sunlight shots anyway. I gotta quit buying lenses!
