Sorry for the delete and repost.
Like in my original post I thought it would be better to focus on the color of the pcock rathar than the bird itself.
I croped and duplicated image, colored sepia copy, clone pcock back in at a medium opacity. shading by directional lighting from bottom left corner, additional shading default brush black color low opacity.

Geez...what an awesome edit. I'm gonna have to try this with some of my bland shots and see if I can make them keepers like you just did.
