Yeah, but one of these days you may be taking senior pictures! You may have your OWN studio!

What camera are you using for the snow board pics? I love how you captured these people so clear with no motion blur! I am still trying to get used to my camera settings so I can take frozen in time shots.

I said I'd get back to this thread. Here they are. A little fun while resting the back from shoveling the snow....

i used my Nikon D50.... mix between the 70-300mm and the nifty 50 (and I attached my fisheye to it)

manual settings, i think around shutter speed 1/2500.. aperture between 4 and 10 (depending on the cloud cover) ISO was between 200 and 400 and 2 flashes, one was mounted on the opposite side of the jump on about a 60 degree angle and the other was in my hand, held high in the air to fill in where the boarders where

tharmsen, I like the composition in your second, whats with the splotches of snow on the wall next to the machine? its intriguing.
I spaced off answering your question.

The snow on the wall is likely from a snow blower. That would be my guess as it appears to be high velocity splatter that's stuck to the wall due to moisture.

:) i just didn't know if that was what you were trying to show in the pic or if it just occurred that way and you shot it.

as for the raw, i figured i'd ease myself into it, but the pull of more control was too strong. I'm pretty comfortable that i figured out everything with my test shots today, so i'm all ready to go out tomorrow for some real shooting, hopefully i'll be back to this thread

This is one that I shot tonight. The moon was bright, but obscured by clouds and haze. I just added some vignetting. I thought it came out pretty decent. There is some noise present, but I don't think it is really distracting in this pic.

I had to wait until midnight for the clouds to pull back a bit. Still learning the "art".

Wife though I was crazy.....she is probably right.
