What do you recommend for fx lenses?

Probably going to go after the tamron. Cause anything over f2.8 is ruled out just cause of astronomy. And I looked at the tokina, but I can't use filters. And that is something I do because of waterfalls.

Got some news for you- basically every ultra wide f2.8 lens is like the tokina, can't use screw on filters, including the new tamron 15-30. There are a few companies that offer filter adapters, I use the fotodiox
 
if you want lower cost f/2.8s ... Nikon 24/2.8 AF-D (though the 24-85/2.8-4.0 is actually better), Nikon 20/2.8 AF-D. and other AI-S and AF-D lenses. And they all can use screw on filters.
 
I don't mind spending more money on one lens. I was just saying I like to stay cheap if I can. :D

In that case, just get the 14-24/2.8 and be done with it.

Yep that's what I'm looking for..... Now if I could just find it for 300$... Lol jk.
